This position will form part of a multidisciplinary engineering team and be responsible for creating engineering designs and shop drawings. You will be a self-starter and be up to date with drafting software and advancement and contribute equally to the team.
as a DRAFTING TECHNICIAN/JR. DESIGNER at Knight Signs, you will:
Prepare and create technical designs and drawings to specifications for manufacturing.
Communicate with engineers and internal teams to design and adjust structural layout of signage and be compliant to building regulations
Prepare, review and redraft alongside the engineering team
Ensure that timelines for drawing turnaround and budget are not exceeded.
Represent your team in operational meetings and offer technical design insights
Ensure drawings are structurally sound and meet all material and weight limitations
Identify and communicate potential design problems to the team
Candidates with the following would be a good fit
Engineering or Bachelor’s degree
Proficient with, AutoCAD, &/or Solidworks, Inventor software
Exposure to architectural drawings or manufacturing experience.
Attention to detail and deadline driven and solution oriented
Effective communications skills, with the ability to listen and persuade others in understanding vision and concept.
Analytical and creative thinking with very good problem-solving skills and strong work ethic
Proficient English language abilities, both written and verbal.
A positive attitude and team player
