Knight Signs has an immediate opening for Electrician to become a part of our fast growing professional team. This is a full time position.

As An electrician at Knight Signs, you will:
The Electrician will be responsible for installation of electrical wiring and fixtures into the signs, including:
Preparation
Review design & layout of shop drawings/blueprints to understand installation requirements.
Plan layout & installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Assemble
Install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as nigh voltage testers, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.
Sign off on work order prior to moving job on to assembly and shipping.
Troubleshoot, Quality Assurance & Equipment Maintenance
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
Inspect structure throughout the process for quality assurance and correction.
Clean and maintain equipment and area to prevent wear on tools and equipment and or accidents.
You will bring :
CSA Electrical Certification / Ticket
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of work experience as an Electrician in a manufacturing environment
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to read blueprints / shop drawings
Good eyesight for detail in the welding, fabrication and assembly process, in order to ensure that our stringent production quality standards
Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, communicate well and work independently.
